EVIDENCE BASED INTERVENTIONS
Anyone can learn to have a great relationship. Evidence based therapies are backed by science and extensive research, such as Gottman Method Couples Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. With these treatment modalities, I help couples build their communication skills, manage emotions, repair conflict and connect on a deeper level.
Many couples and families struggle with resentment, anger management, and flooding with negativity. Awareness of the mind-body connection is backed by researchers that scientifically prove the complex links between the mind and body, which you can use to heal. I am trained in Meditation for Everyday Living (Harvard Medical School, 2019) and I utilize guided imagery to support couples who are having difficulties regulating emotions.
My life experience gave me the sensitivity and understanding of cultural diversity. In my professional career I worked with clients from diverse backgrounds, families dealing with immigration issues and multicultural couples. I speak fluent English, Spanish and Portuguese.
I am strongly committed to providing warm, personalized care to clients who are motivated to change their lives. My priority is that every person who works with me, feels that they have a professional by their side who is available, responsive and caring.
